Jun 14, 2013 I don't own a Mac but your post is the only one I've been able to find that matches my problem. I get the same initializing display screen when connecting to a PC running Ubuntu 13.04 from either a Windows 7 laptop or an Android phone or tablet. So I'm guessing this is a problem in Teamviewer itself if it's happening cross platform. My TeamViewer stuck at initializing display parameters screen even i enter the correct User ID and password. For your information, i’m running latest version of TeamViewer (12.0.78517) As per checking TeamViewer setting, i noticed that there is a server ID on Server OS besides a unique user ID for each user profile. Fix: TeamViewer Stuck on Initializing Display Parameters. If the issue is with your Computer or a Laptop you should try using Reimage Plus which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. This works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption.

Recently i encounter a problem to remote access to my Windows Server using TeamViewer Software. My TeamViewer stuck at initializing display parameters screen even i enter the correct User ID and password. For your information, i’m running latest version of TeamViewer (12.0.78517)

As per checking TeamViewer setting, i noticed that there is a server ID on Server OS besides a unique user ID for each user profile. Server ID can be found on Help-> About TeamViewer

I tried to use Server ID instead of user ID to remote my Windows Server. It work fine without any issue.

TeamViewer is a popular tool that allows a user to offer or receive remote help on a computer. Since it is available on all major PCs and mobile platforms, it is very useful for all types of people on the move. Users who frequently use TeamViewer to do something are usually aware of this single sentence: initialize the display settings. In a normal situation, it would appear on the screen for a second and load the other person’s screen. But some users have reported that TeamViewer has got stuck at this level and is not progressing. In this article, we will see how to fix this bug in Windows 10.

It turned out that the reason TeamViewer only initialized the display settings was that TeamViewer on the system I was connected to was configured to allow connections only when someone was connected; what was fixed was that one of my colleagues had entered the remote machine. As soon as he disconnected, the problem came back.

Uninstalling TeamViewer

The solution was to uninstall TeamViewer, delete the TeamViewer registration key (from HKEY_Local_Machine > Software > Wow6432Node > TeamViewer) and reinstall it with the “Allow Unattended Remote Access” option. There might have been an easier way to do this, but I knew it would work when I recommended it to my colleague, and I did. (A restart of the server on which TeamViewer was installed was not necessary.)

Adjusting the display quality and deleting the wallpaper
